 David Lon & Kellee McCoy Hello Everyone,
What a trip! The family & I hopped in the car and went over 3900 miles in three weeks. We went through Little Rock AK, Memphis TN, Nashville TN, Atlanta GA, Savana GA, Jacksonville FL, Gainsville FL, Tampa FL, Birmingham AL, and back home (as well as many other places along the way). I performed 3 times in Bradenton Florida at THE CHURCH OF THE CROSS. It was great! I really love this church and the people there. I look forward to going back later this year. We also stopped by Birmingham, Alabama to visit my good friend Kellee McCoy. Kellee is the worship leader for DAWSON MEMORIAL BAPTIST CHURCH. He invited Sarah and I to join them on stage Sunday morning and we had a blast! He's such a wonderful worship leader and person, and we have missed him and his family a great deal since they left Tulsa. Starting the first of February I will start on my first full blown rock album in years. WOODSONGS sure took up a lot of time, but now it's time for me to get back to what I really love. The songs are all written and everything is ready to go, so I'm getting very excited about getting started on this new album. The release date for this new album is June 1st. Further down the road I've got some plans for some more DAVID LON video's, as well as a re-release of DIRT POET that will include 4 or 5 bonus tracks that will be very cool for any fan of that era of my career. I'm very excited of what the next year will bring, and I'm feeling like I'm starting to really find my niche. I really think you'll be seeing a lot more albums, video's, and live shows out of me this next year. More than ever! Till next time, take care of your soul, dave |
